FEATURES

What will NETalker Read?

NETalker turns your mouse pointer into a talking pointer.  It will read any text you point at with your mouse.  It will read the text on a hyperlink but not the hyperlink itself.  If you point at an image, NETalker can also read the alternate text that is added to the image.

When NETalker is reading text in the body of an article, it will read until it gets to the end of a paragraph.  This makes it easy for you to control what is read and the order in which it is read.  Just point at the paragraph you want to hear and NETalker will read that paragraph as long as the mouse pointer is sitting over it.  If you move the mouse from one paragraph to another  while it is still reading, it will stop reading the previous paragraph and start reading the one where the mouse is currently located.

Floating Toolbar

Quick Access to Options

NETalker's floating toolbar lets you Start and Stop NETalker, access a variety of Options, get online Help and adjust the amount of time that your mouse pointer needs sit over text before NETalker begins to read.

Reading Window

See and Hear Each Word

Activate a floating reading window to display and enlarge each word as it's being read. The reading window moves with your pointer on the web page. Individual words appear in the reading window as they are read.

Voices

Select any digital voice on your computer* and NETalker will use that voice on any NETalker-enabled website. You can change to another voice on your computer at any time using the Options feature.

* The digital voice should be SAPI 5 compatible.

Speaking Rate

You can make the pointer read faster or slower based on your personal preferences. Move the voice rate slider bar until you have the voice reading at the pace most comfortable for you!

Adjust the Talking Delay

If you want to have a little more time to position the mouse pointer over text before NETalker starts talking, that's not a problem. You can adjust the talking delay anywhere from .25 to 3 seconds.
